Secure Kangaroo Care Wrap

Hold your baby close.
Keep your hands free.

KangaSling makes kangaroo care (skin-to-skin) safe, comfortable, and hands-free. Recommended for premature and low-birth-weight babies.

  • Holding your baby skin-to-skin, upright against your bare chest
  • Keeps baby warm and steadies breathing, heart rate, and weight gain
  • WHO recommends 8–24 hours a day for 30 days for premature babies

Kangaroo care works. Doing it for hours a day is hard.

WHO recommends a minimum of 8 — ideally a continuous 24 — hours of skin-to-skin care a day for premature babies. But a loose sheet or cloth wrap makes that difficult to sustain. KangaSling was designed to solve each of these problems.

From Our Founder

Why we built KangaSling this way

Ratul Narain, CEO of BEMPU Health, explains the thinking behind KangaSling's design — and the quality process every unit goes through before it reaches a hospital or a home.

Thoughtful design in every detail

Hip support, a self-loading front flap, shoulder-strap hooks, a fold-down top, and no-help front tying — built to make continuous KMC easy. Swipe through to see every feature.

For Clinicians

Clinical rationale for KMC

WHO recommends kangaroo mother care as a standard of care for stable premature and low-birth-weight infants. KMC improves temperature regulation, weight gain, breastfeeding rates, and reduces mortality. KangaSling removes the practical barriers to sustained KMC — parent discomfort and the inability to perform other tasks while holding baby — using a self-loading front flap and shoulder-strap hooks that move baby into the correct skin-to-skin position.

For Public Health Programs

Scaling kangaroo mother care

KMC reduces neonatal mortality in low-resource settings. KangaSling makes hands-free skin-to-skin contact practical for mothers, families, and health workers — enabling programs to increase KMC adoption and duration at scale.

Increases KMC duration

Hands-free design lets mothers and health workers maintain skin-to-skin contact for longer periods — a key determinant of KMC outcomes.

Ward and community use

Used in hospital KMC wards and community health programs. Suitable for ASHA workers, CHWs, and facility-based KMC programs.

Washable and reusable

100% cotton. Machine washable. Can be shared across families with proper hygiene protocols — reducing per-family cost in program settings.

Bulk procurement

Available for bulk ordering by government programs, NGOs, and health ministries. Contact us for volume pricing and supply chain support.

No power or batteries

Zero electricity or maintenance requirements. Suitable for any setting, including facilities with unreliable power.

WHO-aligned intervention

WHO recommends a minimum of 8 — ideally a continuous 24 — hours of skin-to-skin care for 30 days with premature newborns. KangaSling makes that practical at scale.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. KangaSling is unisex and fits most adults. Both parents can use the same sling.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Lay flat or hang to dry. Do not tumble dry.
